    Design and durable

Discover our commitments for a more responsible home and an interior with heart

    Our
    commitments

Since 1964, we have been committed to designing our sofa, furniture and accessories collections to last over time and in respect of the planet's resources and individuals. Our furniture and accessories are designed and manufactured to stand the test of time. They can be assembled, disassembled and passed on to fit different interiors. They are therefore tested in laboratories and at our long-standing partners.

Going even further in this sustainable commitment, we work with recognised organisations to certify our products with an eco-responsible label, in order to demonstrate the origin and characteristics of the materials used — essential criteria for the development of our products.

An approach that helps build a trusting, transparent relationship, while also favouring responsible and mindful consumption.
We believe that having a designer, durable interior that reflects you should always remain accessible.

Our commitments do not stop at furnishing. They also extend to textiles, with the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label. This certification, which concerns only the textile sector, is used and recognised internationally.

It is awarded to products that use no chemical or health- or environment-harmful substances and is based on 100 control criteria.

We are proud today to state that 100% of the textile coverings of sofas and armchairs in our fabric, leather and velvet bar are OEKO-TEX® certified. As well as 70% of our household linen, including bed linen, bath linen, duvets and pillows.

    Textiles free from harmful substances

Habitat is proud to announce that 100% of the textile coverings of sofas and armchairs in its fabric bar are OEKO-TEX® certified.

    Products made from recycled materials

Habitat strives every day to increase the presence of recycled materials in its products.

Preserving natural resources also means reducing the waste of raw materials. Our products reinvent and reimagine materials to give them a second life and make them unique pieces.

We therefore strive every day to increase the presence of recycled materials in our products: furniture, glassware, decoration, duvets and pillows, and much more to come.

    Our
    approach

In line with our commitments, we are also committed to strengthening our internal actions to reduce our environmental footprint.

Every action counts, which is why we commit to always going further in transforming our processes, the lifecycle of our products, and the evolution of our practices. All of our professions are thus mobilised on a daily basis to make our actions more virtuous and create a better world for tomorrow.

Our local production and the promotion of craftsmanship

In its desire to reduce its carbon footprint, Habitat has always favoured local craftsmanship whenever possible.
